Adding Reservations Questions

In this document, we will go over how to add different questions prior to defining your Facility/Parks. It is recommended that you add these before you start defining your activities to make the defining process go faster.

Prerequisites:  The user permissions to define Facility within Sportsman are required to set up Reservation Questions.

This document will cover:

ü Adding New Questions

Ø Yes or no

Ø Multiple Choice

Ø Date

Ø Fill in the Blank

Adding New Questions

To begin navigate to Define>Facility>Reservation Questions as shown below.

Next click [+Add] Button

The add a question box will populate with two sections, ‘Question Definition’, and ‘Displayed To User’.

Question Definition

In this section, you need to add the description, report header, and mark if the question is required. You can also select all the questions to be editable at the league/class definition, this means that any changes here will cascade to any league using this question.

Displayed To User

In the top section, you will need to put in the question, and if any explanation is needed to help clarify it.

In the bottom portion of the ‘Displayed To User’ section you will need to decide what type of question, you are adding, List of Choices, number, Date, Freeform, Yes or No. Below we will go through each Answer type.

List of Choices

To create a multiple choice answer type click on the drop-down and select ‘List Of Choices’.

Then click on the [+Add] button.

The ‘Enter Choice’ box will populate. Here you will need to enter the ‘Choice Description’, for example, if the question is what size tables do you need, then the answer might be Large round tables. You will need to add a new ‘Choice Description” for each answer. If a fee is associated with a question this is where you will add that fee. Each answer can have a different fee attached to it. In our example, you can see that we have a $25.00 fee attached to the Large round tables. Once you have added your choice answers they will be listed under the ‘Choices’ box.

Number

If the answer type is a number, then select the number option in the drop-down list.

Next, add in the max number and the number of decimal places the patron can enter.

Date

If the answer type is a date then select the date option in the drop-down list.

FreeForm

If the answer type is freeform then select the freeform option in the drop-down list.

Then add in the character max for the question, as shown below.

Yes or No

If the answer type is Yes or No then select the Yes or No option in the drop-down list.

If there is a fee associated with the yes and no question, then you will need to check the box and select the appropriate fee from the drop-down as shown below. If the answer is ‘Yes’ then they will be charged the fee if the answer is ‘No’ they will not be charged.

Once you have finished creating your question click [OK] and it will be added to the list for you to choose from when you define a facility.
