Discount Types in Web

 

Using our Discount feature will help you to create and offer registration discounts to your patrons to incentivize things like early registration or multiple purchases, or to offer deals to members of specific groups like the military or students. Prerequisites:  You must have permissions for ‘Financial List Management’ under ‘Definitions’ offered by a Sportsman System Administrator.

Creating Discount Types

To begin, navigate to Define > Financial > Discounts to proceed to the Discount Types screen.

Next, you will create a Discount by clicking on the [+Add] button on the screen.

 

Enter a Description, and Abbreviation for you Discount.

Select the GL Account.

Select the radio button that corresponds with your Discount Type; Multi-Purchase or Normal

Multi-Purchase Discount Type:

Apply As: Editable, Fixed Percentage or Fixed Amount

Qualifications:

                    Must be in same sale to qualify: If checked, discount will only apply if patron purchases multiple registrations in the same sale.

                    1st Purchase can be anyone in family: Allows for discount to apply for multiple purchases within a family group, not just for a single patron.

                    Discount only applies to individual purchases: Applies discount only for multiple purchase for a single patron.

Multi-Discount:

          Click [+Add], then enter the amount or percentage of the discount for the corresponding quantity of items purchased (i.e., 2+ = $5, 3+ = $10)

 

Normal Discount Type:

Select Editable, Fixed Percentage, or Fixed Amount from the Apply As dropdown, and enter the percentage or amount if applicable.

 

Click [OK] once your Discount has been fully configured.

 

Applying Discounts to Patron Accounts

To apply a discount to a patron account, navigate to the patron account screen Action > Lookup Individual.

Click on the Edit Member [] button or double-click the patron’s name. Navigate to the Other tab in the Edit Member screen. Select the discount you wish to apply from the Discounts dropdown list. Click [Save] once you have selected the discount that applies.
