SportsMan Instructional – Using SMTP with a Yahoo! Email Account

Log in to your Yahoo! account

 

Go to Account Info

 

 

On the left side of the screen select Account Security and change Allow apps that use less secure sign in to ON

 

 

 

Scroll down and click the option that says “Generate App  Password.”  The following screen will appear with an option to name it.  Name it accordingly.

 

 

Copy the password generated and put that into your system configuration or user preferences (workstation configuration – Printers / email Tab.

 

 

In SportsMan go to File > System Configuration

 

Select the Connections tab

 

Under Default Email Information check the box next to Secure (SSMTP) and enter the following information:

 

Email Provider: SMTP

Email Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Email Account: <your email address>

Email Password: <YOUR APP PASSWORD GENERATED BY YAHOO>
