Copying Activities
Using our ‘Copy activities’ feature will help
reduce the time it takes for you to create your seasonal programs each year. In
order to use this feature, you must have already created the activity in the ‘Define
Activities’ sections of the software. Below, we outline the best practices
when copying activities. If you have additional questions after reviewing this
document you can reach out to our support consultants for additional help.
Prerequisites: You must have
permissions for ‘Define Activities’ for Registration
offered by a Sportsman System Administrator.

Copying Activities
To begin, navigate to Define > Activities for Registration at the top left of
the Application. This should pull up the “Define Activities for
Registration” page
Next, you
will need to create a new header for the current year. Click on the [Add Menu
Category] on the right side of the box. For our example, we will create a
heading called Summer 2021. (See screenshot)
Next, select
and highlight the activity/program you wish to copy. Then click on the [Copy
Activity] button on the right.
This should pull up an
option page. Here, you can update the name of the activity, change the start
and end dates, as well as the signup dates and GL account if different. When you have
made your adjustments, click [Ok]
The copied activity should now appear in
the same Menu Category as the original.
**NOTE**
The copied activity will default into the same Menu
Category as the original activity.
Next, you will need to move the new copied activity to
the new main category that you created in the first step. Highlight the copy
you created and click the [Move Item].
Then, select the main category and click [Ok].
