Learning Path

This section covers the core Sportsman functionality of defining an activity and then registering patrons for those activities. You can also learn how to cancel activities and run actvity reports. Please note that Sportsman uses the term "defining" to mean settting up and establishing parameters of a feature such as an activity, facility or rental.

Before getting started you will need to have your 'site' or database configured and your software set up with integrated equipment, Sportsman users, your GL codes and one or more cash registers defined. See the Installation & Configuration documentation on the prior menu for more information on those items.

To begin entering your activities for registrations you will want to understand how the Sportsman Activity Hierarchy works, understand registration methods and then have information pre-established in 'tables' to use when setting up specific activities such as: coach list, fees and discounts, activity categories, swimming levels, and registration questions. You may also want to have general or activity level Waivers established and understand Activity billing methods. These topics are covered in the Initial Setup tab to the left.

Once you have a basic understanding and information entered you can begin to add specific programs and activities in the Define Actvities tab to the left. You can continue to explore more advanced topics further down on the left menu tabs including information about our Coaches Login mobile feature which gives coaches, coordinators and instructors access to activity rosters and other key information via their smartphone, laptop or tablet.
